As we go into the sessions for the new album, and ahead of new releases in May, we thought we’d share with you a final and free download single from ‘On The Twelve Thrones’.
‘Afraid Of Your Love’ is probably one of our oldest songs, a live favourite and a track that has been in many different incarnations over the years. We couldn’t tell you how many instruments (let alone people) that have played it at some point during its life.
Here you get the final album version which recorded in the ‘Mosquito Dorm’ and ‘Analog Studios’, and the previously unreleased ‘Jagz Kooner Mix’ which we recorded at ‘Miloco Studios’. Probably one of our most enjoyable, decadent (and expensive) sessions ever with the Dark Lord of Electro. You also get the fantastic ‘Electric Loop Orchestra Remix’ recorded by the genius audio scientist that is Tim Holmes (who’s also one half of Death in Vegas).
Special art work as always, comes from the ”destined to be national treasure” Stuart Semple.
Hope you enjoy it and please feel free to share. Just click through here to listen and download. ;-)

As promised here’s a link to a little something we put together yesterday called ‘Surround the Possible’. We thought we’d try something a little more cinematic and just see what happened. It’s kind of an ethereal musical snapshot in time of where we were from 9:00 until 14:00 rather than a ‘New Song’ as such, but we said we’d share so here it is. Artwork by Mister Semple.
You can listen and download for free via Sound Cloud or listen and watch to some visual stuff we found on You Tube and set the track to. (No copyright infringement intended of course)
We recorded everything live to an analogue 16 track, and then mixed down in stereo, then popped it onto a mac and converted to MP3.
For those fellow gear geeks amongst you, here’s what we used:
Akai S20 , MPS 2000 , Leslie 2101 Rotary Speaker, Hammond B3, EH Memory Man Delay, Korg MS20, Fender Jazz master, Les Paul Black Beauty, Les Paul Custom, Fender Jagstang, Devi Ever Truly Beautiful Disaster, DBA Octave Clang, Boss Analogue Delay, DIY Spring Reverb (Made by Matt Sladen (Live Keys Player) Marshall Valve Combo Stack, 1989 Mesa Boogie MK iii Green Stripe.
